Caring for your Lumen Atelier piece
Fine jewellery is built to last a lifetime — and beyond. With the right care, your pieces will remain as beautiful as the day you received them.
Daily Care
- —Remove your jewellery before swimming, showering, or applying perfumes, lotions, or hairspray — chemicals degrade gold over time.
- —Wipe pieces with a soft, lint-free cloth after each wear to remove skin oils and moisture.
- —Store each piece separately in the velvet pouches provided to prevent scratching.
Cleaning at Home
- —For 18K and 22K gold: Soak in warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap for 15–20 minutes. Gently scrub with a soft toothbrush. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- —For diamond pieces: Use the same method. Diamonds attract oils and dust, so regular cleaning keeps their brilliance sharp.
- —Avoid ultrasonic cleaners for pieces with prong-set stones, enamel, or Kundan settings.
Professional Servicing
- —We recommend bringing your Lumen Atelier pieces in for a professional polish and inspection once a year.
- —All Lumen Atelier pieces come with a lifetime servicing warranty — cleaning, polishing, and prong tightening are complimentary for the life of the piece.
- —Stone replacements (lost stones) are covered at cost of material only for the first 2 years.
Storage
- —Store in a cool, dry, low-humidity environment. Avoid direct sunlight for extended periods.
- —Gold does not tarnish, but coloured gemstones (particularly emeralds and opals) can be sensitive to heat and dryness.
- —Use the anti-tarnish storage box provided for diamond and gemstone pieces.
